Everybody I know has grown up to the proverb: A friend in need is a friend in deed. For a long time, I did not understand why a friend who was in need was a real friend! And then one day, it dawned upon me - English is a funny language ;-)
Anyways, does this mean a friend who is not there in need is a friend only in word? Even more scary - If I have no needs, do I not get to have any friends?

this may be just a part of the definition about a friend... (it does not define completely). Also I think everyone has their own definition about friend and make friendship according to it.
